Birthday gift for Lars

It was Lars' birthday last Wednesday and Einarr made him this Hneftafl game. The leather 'game board' was carved by hand of course and the aquarium stones made it all complete, together with a very simple round pouch. Cool huh?!

I wanted to show this to you earlier, but as usual time was not on my side. So, without further delay, the main part of the banner is done, the bird!


I intend to make a 'frame' around the bird and the family name Girbeson underneath.

Another happy dagger

This is an old dagger and Einarr decided to practise his carving once more. He made a celtic bird on the sheath and I must say it looks ok, don't you agree?
